Dreidels of the Ratzan Family

Since the 1950’s, several generations of the Ratzan Family of Highland Park have been collecting a wide variety of dreidels. For the month of December they are on loan at the library on display in the main hall display case.

Karen Ratzan started the collection decades ago with a large plastic candy filled version and it has grown to include those owned by her daughter, Jill Ratzan. In the display there are dreidel music boxes, yo-yos, handmade blown glass, snow globes, sippy cups, and traditional small spinning tops.
