Lisa Gordon Cameron is an artist, a Licensed Landscape Architect, and a New Jersey native. This body of work developed from many years of commuting on the NJ Turnpike – contemplating the landscape from a moving car, and the blending of human infrastructure with nature. “When you distill something, you are boiling it down to its essence – its most important part. Whether it’s alcohol or ideas, the distilled part is the most powerful. The original meaning comes from the process of making alcohol, in which all the impurities are vaporized and its pure condensation collected.” Her exhibit, Landscape Distilled – Paintings and Digital Prints, is on display at the Highland Park Public Library in September 2013.
