Materials may be returned within the Library or in the book drop. Materials returned at other libraries will not be removed from your account until they are received at Highland Park Public Library.
Holds and renewals may be requested in person, by telephone, online or by using the library app. See How to Renew a Book for further instructions. Items with existing holds cannot be renewed. Highland Park Public Library can obtain materials from other libraries through Inter-Library Loan for Highland Park resident cardholders. These materials may be subject to their home library’s rules and regulations. There is a limit of 3 requests per day for holds placed in person or by phone for ILL materials.
Patrons’ borrowing privileges will be blocked when fines exceed $10.
Lost/damaged fees are assessed by Highland Park Public Library. Refunds are only issued for fines and fees if the library determines that payment was in error.
