Materials may be returned within the Library or in the book drop although we request that DVDs, Audio Books and Launchpads be returned inside.

The Highland Park Public Library can obtain materials from other libraries through Inter Library Loan for Highland Park resident card holders. These materials are subject to their home library’s rules and regulations. Limit of 3 requests per day and subject to $.50 request fee per item.
Holds may be placed by Highland Park resident card holders in person, by telephone, online or by using the library’s smartphone App, Boopsie. There will be a $.50 fee for each reserve.
Patrons’ borrowing privileges will be blocked when fines exceed $20.
If there is any question that a book may have been returned, no payment should be made until the issue is resolved. When the library determines that a fine has been collected in error, the fine will be refunded to the patron.
