Exploring Mortality in Community

Black circle with the text "Date with Death Club: Exploring Mortality in Community" inside it, and outside of it.Do you want to face mortality with less fear and more curiosity, less euphemism and more reality, less conformity and more creativity?

Facilitated by Rev. Karen G. Johnston, Date with Death Club is a non-dogmatic opportunity to explore mortality in community through connection, reflection, and conversation.

Come to one, some, or all of the monthly sessions. Participation in each session is first come, first served.

Resistance & Acceptance: The Mortal Dance: Our attitudes toward our own mortality are a dance between resistance (do not go gentle into that good night) and acceptance (no one gets out of here alive). This session will use music and reflection to explore death anxiety and the new science around the use of psilocybin (“magic mushrooms”) to help ease the fear of death in those with terminal diagnoses.

Note: Date with Death Club is NOT a bereavement group. For more information, visit the Date with Death Club website:, or visit the Date with Death Club Facebook page.
