Using grant funds from Sustainable NJ and PSE&G, Sustainable Highland Park teamed up with Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program to create rain gardens in HP. This initiative is expected to address storm water runoff issues in our town, and Highland Park Public Library is proud to be part of this effort.  Early in May the library invited the community to help us plant our new rain garden.  The garden, located on the right side of the building will not only beautify the often neglected right side of our building but will hopefully help address some of our storm water runoff issues.  The rain garden is part of Highland Park’s green infrastructure which will manage and clean stormwater runoff.  We are stop number 9 of the Green Infrastructure walking tour
