Summer Reading & Discovery for All Ages! Children can register and pick up a game board at the librayr starting june 20th. participants will track their time reading and earn fun prizes along the way! Game runs 6/20 through 8/31. Summer Reading Kickoff at the Community Center 220 South 6th Ave Science Heroes: Saving Earth Together Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 3:00 p.m. Science heroes will work with you to stop a super polluting mastermind! Throughout this live interactive storytelling event, you will conduct science experiments and learn about chemical reactions, laws of motion, air pressure and more! Space is limited and seating will be first come, first served. Highland Park Public Library @ the Farmers Market 212 Raritan Ave. Every Friday in July & August. Join us for family storytimes & all-ages crafts! Outdoor programming is all weather permitting. Plus, every week, stop by the library's tent to get book recommendations, sign up for a library card, and claim your Summer Reading prizes! All Ages Crafts @ The Farmers Market HPPL Tent July 7 2:30 pm friendship bracelets: Learn how to use a simple cardboard loom to create woven bracelets for yourself and your friends. July 14 2:30 pm Breathing Buddy Make and decorate your own breathing buddy out of pom poms, felt, and googly eyes. Breathing buddies can help practice calming breaths. July 21 2:30 pm Community Puzzle Decorate a piece of our community puzzle, to be displayed at our Highland Park Public Library Express location. We’ll provide art supplies – just bring your creativity! July 28 2:30 pm Positivity Stones Spread positivity by decorating a smooth stone with art and words of encouragement.
