Color Our World: Children's Library Programming Summer 2025 Summer Reading Kick-Off- Science Heroes: Adventure of the missing color on Tuesday June 24 at 2 pm Join the Science Heroes on their mission to turn science into an adventure! Get excited about science through hands on experiments and an interactive story as we celebrate the scientists who color our world with art! Space is limited and is first-come-first-served. Color-Changing Slime on Thursday July 3, at 3 pm; have fun making your own color-changing slime. for children in grades k-5. Registration is required. Click the registration link below or call 732-572-2750. Printmaking for Kids on Thursday July 17 at 3 pm. Learn a simple printmaking technique and create your own unique print. For children in grades 2-5. Registration is required. Family Monday Movie Matinees: Showtimes for both movies is 2 pm July 14- The Wild Robot- Rated PG; running time 1 hour and 42 minutes August 4 - Dog Man - Rated PG; running time 1 hour and 34 minutes Process Art for Preschoolers on July 24 at 11 am. Let's get messy and make some process art. Process art prioritizes creativity and the process of creation over the finished product. For children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. This event will take place outside on the front lawn of the library. Dress for a mess. Tween Tie Dye Party on Thursday July 31 at 3 pm (rain date August 14) Tie dye your own drawstring backpack. (This is an outdoor program. dress for a mess.) For tweens ages 9-12. Registration is required. Kaleidoscope craft on Thursday August 7 at 3 pm; Make and decorate a simple DIY Kaleidoscope. For Children in grades K-5. Registration is required. Reading is Magical: A Comedy Magic Show with Ed Smoot on Monday August 11 at 6:30 pm; Enjoy a special magic show with comedy magician Ed Smoot that captures the magic of reading and laughter. Space is limited and is first-come-first-served.

Summer Storytimes for Young Children: Books & Babies: Lapsit storytime for caregivers and their little ones ages newborn to 24 months. Each session will be about 20 minutes of simple songs, fingerplays, bounces & stories. Wednesdays at 10:30 am Dates: June 18 thru August 13 Book Break: Stories, songs, and movement for children ages 4-5 years old. Wednesdays at 3:30 pm Dates: June 18 thru August 13 Tot Time: Stories, songs, movement, and rhymes for children ages 2-3 years old. Tuesdays at 10:30 am Dates: June 17 thru August 12 Pajama Storytime: Wind down with some bedtime stories at this family storytime! Once a month on Mondays at 6:15 pm Dates: June 2, July 7, August 4
