The Friends of the Highland Park Public Library play an important role in supporting and promoting excellent library services. The Friends raise funds to support library services and to sponsor special library programs for the public throughout the year, including Poetry Nights, Children’s Programs, Teen Programs, Film Nights, concerts and cultural events. The Friends also raise community awareness of the library’s resources and stimulate public support for its mission.

The Friends’ funding comes primarily from membership, donations and fundraising. The largest fund raising event is the Annual Book Sale.

The Friends offer ample opportunity for community involvement. Chair an activity, work on the book sale, offer experience and ideas, actively advocate for the Library. Interested in volunteering or contributing in some way? Email director@hpplnj.org today.
